DogeDen Exclusive Feature, our Anchor for Dog Tie-Outs
If you've ever tethered your dog to a tree or one of those corkscrew anchors you understand the frustration and have seen the tangling that can happen.
The DogeDen 60A (Anchor Series) solves this problem by integrating the anchor into the doghouse on the smooth dome-top roof. The design virtually guarantees that your dog will never get tangled again! You can also purchase our Lanyard separately if you like.
The Anchor is the perfect complement to a 15' or 20' cable dog tie out as it allows the dog the ability to go in and out of his house, and the ability to move around in a full circle around his doghouse. NO other doghouse has such a brilliant design, and since most of our doghouse sits underground you can be sure he has plenty of space and that the tie-out will work seamlessly without tangling. The lanyard's integration on top of the doghouse will sit about 15" above the ground, so in most cases it will be level with your dogs leash.
To use the anchor all you have to do is snap a high quality cable to the anchor and tether your dog to the other end. We do NOT recommend using a chain with the DogeDen, but it will work just as good, save for a little noise as the dog enters and exits his DogeDen. Use your best judgement when deciding what is best for your dog.
If you decide that your dog does not like to be tethered, you can always continue using the DogeDen without the tether inside a kennel or backyard. Unlike conventional dog houses that take up A TON OF ROOM inside a kennel, the DogeDen is engineered and has a very compact above ground profile. You could put two or three Dogeden's inside a kennel and the dogs would still have quite a bit of room to roam.
NOTE ON TETHERING: Not all dogs are suitable for tethering and owner supervision is recommended. Be aware of any other obstacles that may suspend or entangle your pet. If your pet resists, close supervision may be required. Not all pets accept tethering, and active dogs over 30 lbs may need a "Large Dog Tie-out."
